In 1998 he graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Journalism and Advertising. He moved to Southern California and worked in marketing and in entertainment industry. In 2002 John went to the Amazon region in Ecuador with Steve Saint. He spent two weeks with the Waodani tribe. It was there that John stayed with the men who killed Nate Saint (Steve’s father) and four other men, including Jim Elliot—and it was there the Lord began to confirm the call of ministry on John’s life. With the encouragement of Dr. MacArthur, he entered the Master’s Seminary to receive his MDiv. John has spent the last eight years in pastoral ministry and is passionate about preaching the Word of God for the glory of God. John met his wife Daisy when she waited on him in a restaurant in Pasadena, California. They have been married since 2003 and have two precious girls, Jane and Brooke.
