God called Showa to ministry in 1995 and gave him a heart for the Dhading District in Nepal. He went to Kathmandu for Bible training and while there met Pastor Timothy of Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu. Over 60 people embraced Jesus by faith and formed a fellowship. He longs to see Jesus save the people in his city through the Word of God and the testimony of Christ in the believers at the church. It is his vision because “God has given it to me.”
Showa was born in a devout Hindu family. When several family members became ill they called on His grandfather was a Hindu wizard. Their grandfather’s healing treatments and rituals were not working, so they went to a nearby village to see another wizard; this treatment did not work. In a last attempt, Showa’s family took all their goats and buffalo, to give the sacrifice of blood to the Hindu gods, but not even this sacrifice healed their illness. Returning from the temple, they met a man talking about the miracles of Jesus. Showa’s family went to a church to find out about this God. When Showa’s family entered the church they felt a peace about their situation like they had never known. Showa’s family returned to the church every day and after several weeks, Showa’s entire family accepted Christ and were healed of their illnesses. Showa was baptized and married his wife, Sushila, in February 1995. They have one daughter.
