Joel Anderson

Senior Pastor, Harvest OrlandoJoel has been serving church and para-church organizations since 1991, receiving his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College and his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. During the first of six short-term overseas missions trips, Joel responded to a call to fulltime ministry. He and his wife, Jill, then moved to the Chicago area and joined the staff of Harvest Bible Chapel, Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

For five years Joel served there as the children’s and junior high pastor, and started a young adult and young married couples’ ministries. In March 2001, Harvest commissioned Joel and a group from within the church to plant the second Harvest Bible Chapel in Crystal Lake, Illinois. In November 2007, the Anderson’s responded to the door of ministry the Lord and launched Harvest Orlando.

Joel and Jill have five young daughters. In addition to loving their work at the church, their family enjoys swimming, going to the beach, reading, playing chase and hide-and-go-seek, and all things coffee and chocolate. (Mom and Dad only on the coffee!)

Joel’s mantra for life and ministry is found in Hebrews 6:9: “Beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you…”
