Doug Helmer

Senior Pastor, Harvest Indianapolis-West Doug served as an assistant pastor for five years before planting Harvest Indianapolis-West. He owned a business for 21 years before moving into vocational ministry. Doug has a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Indiana University and a Masters of Divinity from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pa. He is working on a Doctorate of Ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

Doug and his wife, Karen, were married in 1984. They have two children: Luke and Emily. Luke attends the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and Emily hopes to attend Moody Bible Institute in Chicago to study international ministries. Karen is working on a Masters in biblical counseling from The Masters College in Santa Clarita, Calif.
